Beginning in Val d'Isere

While Val d’Isere is well known for its excellent off-piste skiing and more challenging runs, it also has a lot to offer those who are new to the slopes.

The Solaise area, in the heart of Val d’Isere village, leads to a number of easy nursery slopes which are perfect for beginners finding their feet.

Many of Val d’Isere’s lunch spots and bars lie at the foot of the beginner slopes, which enables novice skiers to easily meet up with other members of their group who may be skiing in different areas.

Val d’Isere is linked with another ski resort called Tignes which lies across a valley. This means that after a few days, most beginners will be able to explore some of the lovely green and blue slopes which connect Val d’Isere and Tignes.

“ The only problem with this holiday is I have to go home!”
